The 489 is a runabout, and the Baymaster name is added by Stacer to the name of models under five metres to suggest the boat’s appropriate use as well as the coastal inlets and navigable rivers.
At this size, a runabout makes a good case as a great budget freindly family and fishing boat. The 489 actually offers as much cockpit area as larger cuddy cabin boats more usually thought of as the family’s choice. The Stacer has formal seats for five – the rated capacity – and a carpeted deck that provides infinite alternative casual seating.
The recommended power range goes up to 75hp, which is ample for skiing.
The package comes with a 60hp Merc 4 stroke and Alloy trailer.
If you want to upgrade to the 75hp Mercury 4 Stroke the drive away price is $33,500.
